The NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday attracted 2.926 million viewers on over-the-air FOX, as reported by Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel metric. This marked a 26 percent increase from the previous year’s race at Kansas, although that race aired on FS1. In comparison to previous years, the viewership numbers for this race were slightly lower, with an April Cup Series race typically drawing over 3 million viewers.

This year, the race returned to over-the-air FOX to serve as a lead-in for the IndyCar Series’ Grand Prix of Long Beach. The doubleheader was considered a success for the network, as the Long Beach race garnered 1.27 million viewers, a 130 percent increase from the previous year’s numbers on FOX. IndyCar also noted that this was the most-watched Long Beach race since the merger of Champ Car and Indy Racing League in 2008.

Additionally, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series continued to drive viewership for The CW network. The Kansas Lottery 300 race received 1.18 million viewers, making it the most-watched Kansas race in the second-tier division since 2023. This marked a 12 percent increase from the same weekend the previous year. Despite not being a direct comparison, NASCAR races on The CW consistently attract over a million viewers per race since the start of the 2025 campaign.

Overall, the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway and the IndyCar Grand Prix of Long Beach proved to be successful in terms of viewership numbers for FOX and The CW networks, respectively.
