Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, started his journey to Bandung, West Java, via the Whoosh high-speed train from Halim Station in Jakarta. Dressed in a cream-colored outfit with a matching jacket and navy blue cap, he blended in with fellow passengers, tapping his boarding card at the ticket gate before heading to the platform. His presence excited commuters, as he waved to onlookers and interacted warmly with the crowd. Before boarding, he took photos with the Whoosh crew and the train departed for Tegalluar Station in Bandung at 8:00 p.m.
President Prabowo is set to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), from August 7 to 9. He will deliver the keynote address at the convention alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. With the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” KSTI 2025 aims to be a pivotal forum on both national and international platforms.
