Prabowo Receives U.S. Special Operations Command Honor Medal

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, welcomed General Bryan Patrick Fenton, Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta for a courtesy visit. The meeting showcased a cordial exchange as both leaders reiterated their commitment to bolstering defense cooperation between their nations. Prabowo greeted Fenton with a military salute, and the general reciprocated with compliments on the president’s fitness. During the meeting, General Fenton honored Prabowo with the USSOCOM Honor Medal, recognizing his exceptional leadership in enhancing U.S.–Indonesia defense relations, especially in special operations. Fenton lauded Prabowo for his visionary leadership in strengthening defense ties and international collaboration, particularly in counterterrorism, strategic cooperation, and regional security. The general presented the medal to President Prabowo and also gifted a ceremonial item. The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
