Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have voiced their shared concerns over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, triggered by the ongoing Israeli military operations. The issue was discussed during the official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) as part of Prabowo’s state visit to the Kingdom. Both nations have agreed to enhance collaboration in delivering emergency aid and broader humanitarian support to the people of Gaza.
The joint statement issued by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) underscored the commitment of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia to providing humanitarian aid and assistance for recovery efforts in response to Israeli aggression. In addition to addressing the situation in Gaza, both countries also underscored their shared goal of deepening cooperation to ensure global stability and security. They pledged to work together to advance regional peace and bolster global resilience.
The meeting, held at Al-Salam Palace, was marked by a cordial and friendly atmosphere, underscoring the strong strategic relationship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Images released by SPA captured President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS engaged in discussions, with the flags of both countries in the backdrop. This commitment aligns with Indonesia’s consistent foreign policy of standing in solidarity with the Palestinian cause and actively engaging in humanitarian diplomacy on the international stage.
